The 2nd Imptox public workshop entitled “Micro- and Nanoplastics & Human Health: Insights from Science and Research” will take place in a hybrid format on Friday, March 24th from 15.15 to 17.30 CET online and at the Pyramide Event Hotel in Vienna, Austria. Distinguished speakers from various parts of Europe will gather to share their insights and expertise on the impact of micro- and nanoplastics (MNPs) on human health.
At the workshop, participants will gain an overview of the latest research and findings in the field, including specific questions such as the correlation between MNPs and cancer formation and the challenges of micro- and nanoplastics analysis. Imptox Coordinator, Tanja Ćirković Veličković from the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Belgrade, and other renowned speakers from the Imperial College London, the Leibniz Institute for Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries, the University of Vienna, the Montanunversitaet Leoben, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment in the Netherlands, and the Medical University of Vienna will share their insights into their respective research.
This is a unique opportunity to discover the latest developments in research on MNPs and human health and network with like-minded professionals. The workshop will follow two days of internal meetings of the Imptox consortium, gathering on March 23rd and in the morning of March 24th for its second annual meeting.
